We at RiverRun Paediatric Therapy Services pride ourselves on understanding not just the child’s skills, but who they are, their story, their support networks, and their environments. Only then can we truly provide a unique and holistic therapy approach that really makes a difference.

As a community-based practice in the Macedon Ranges and Mitchell Shire areas, we see the value of a strong therapeutic relationship, not just with the child, but their families, schools, organisations and care teams. Not only does this allow a more in-depth understanding of your child and their needs, but it fosters an open and honest two-way relationship between the therapist and the family.

Our Occupational Therapists are trained in a wide variety of evidence-based approaches, which we then combine to form an integrated, individualised program to help your child be the best version of them. Our practice also strives to push the boundaries of these approaches, creating the evidence and pioneering the new ideas that will make a difference in the future.

In 2024, we are very excited to announce that Music Therapy will be joining our team at RiverRun. Click on the Music Therapy tab or Meet the Team to learn more about how Music Therapy can support children, young people, and families.

RiverRun is a place for everyone

At RiverRun, it is important to us that all people can find a place to belong here. Whether you are a child or young person, a caregiver, one of our team, a future team member, or part of our community network, we embrace and encourage your uniqueness of self and experiences.

This means creating a safe space for you to express your culture, your gender, and your sexuality, and where we practice with clients and engage as a team in a neuro-affirming way.

RiverRun comes together every day on the lands of the Taungurung, Dja Dja Wurrung, and the Wurundjeri people. We pay our respects to their elders past, present, and emerging, and support the continuation of language, culture, and community of all Australians.
